Hyderabad incharge Minister directs GHMC to stay alert amid heavy rain forecast

Hyderabad, Apr 18 (UNI) With heavy rain and gusty winds lashing parts of Hyderabad, In-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has directed GHMC officials to stay alert and take all necessary precautions to minimise public inconvenience.
Prabhakar, after reviewing the situation on Friday evening, emphasised that emergency and Disaster Response Force (DRF) teams must act swiftly to clear fallen trees reported in several areas due to strong winds. He urged officials to address potential traffic disruptions and ensure the safety of commuters.
The rainfall have impacted multiple areas, including Charminar, Bahadurpura, Nampally, Amberpet, Khairatabad, LB Nagar, Kukatpally, and Secunderabad. GHMC engineering staff have been instructed to immediately clear waterlogging from the affected zones.
