Hyderabad cyber crime unit arrests three in digital arrest fraud

Hyderabad, Mar 27 (UNI) The Cyber Crime Police of Hyderabad have arrested three individuals from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, for their involvement in a digital arrest fraud case.
The accused, identified as Thota Srinivasa Rao (59), Lam Jeevankumar (38), and Tammishetty Raghuveer (40), were apprehended in connection with Cr.No. 2886/2024 under Sections 66C and 66D of the IT Act and multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Investigations revealed that they were involved in 14 fraud cases across India, including one in Telangana.
