Hyd: Volvo Eicher invests Rs 5cr in VNR VJIET, Boosts Automotive Education Standards

Hyderabad, Jan 13 (UNI) In a major boost to industry-integrated engineering education, Volvo–Eicher (VE Commercial Vehicles Limited) has made a long-term investment of ₹5 crore in Hyderabad- based VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering & Technology (VNR VJIET) by establishing a Regional Competency Development Centre on its campus.
The Centre, inaugurated in the E Block of VNR VJIET, will operate for an initial period of10 years, with a provision for renewal, the Institute said in a release here on Tuesday.
It is designed to train Eicher employees and dealer personnel from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, while also providing hands-on, industry-grade training to VNR VJIET students and faculty from Automobile, Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronics Engineering disciplines.
