Hyd: India to host WAVES in February

Hyderabad, Sep 20 (UNI) The Government of India will host the World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES) from February 5 to 9, 2025, aimed at strengthening India’s Media & Entertainment (M&E) industry and expanding its global presence.
Speaking at a promotional roadshow held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (JNAFAU) here on Friday, Secretary of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Sanjay Jaju, announced that WAVES will be the first-ever global summit covering the entire spectrum of the Media & Entertainment industry.
Jaju emphasised the importance of WAVES as a platform that will foster coordinated efforts between the M&E industry and technology. The summit will serve as a premier forum for dialogue, collaboration, and innovation, bringing together industry leaders, stakeholders, and innovators to explore opportunities, address challenges, boost trade, and shape the future of the sector.
