HRAO urges Odisha Govt to develop the state as a global tourist destination

Bhubaneswar, June 21 (UNI) Chairman of the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Odisha (HRAO), J K Mohanty, on Saturday urged the Odisha government to transform the state into a global tourist destination by attracting substantial investments in the tourism sector.
Mohanty emphasized that this goal could be achieved through the construction of luxury hotels and resorts, the development of major tourist attractions, and by giving due importance to foreign tourists.
Addressing a press conference here, Mohanty highlighted the need to include tourism as a subject in the curriculum of top revenue-generating institutions and urged the state government to plan initiatives to promote Odisha as a 21-night destination.

SJTA orders inquiry into security lapse at Sri Jagannath Temple

Advocates’ Association calls for court boycott, white ribbon protest

Ranchi, July 9 (UNI) The Advocates’ Association of Jharkhand High Court has announced a one-day abstention from judicial work on July 10 (Thursday), followed by a symbolic white ribbon protest starting July 11(Friday). The decisions were unanimously adopted during a General Body Meeting held today at the High Court premises.

Tripura develops 25,000 hectares of organic land

Agartala, July 9 (UNI) The Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department of Tripura has developed more than 25,000 hectares of certified organic land and exported 1,332 MT of organic products—including scented rice, bird’s eye chilli, ginger, turmeric, and pineapple—to other states and foreign countries in the last three years.
