HPS society congratulates Alumnus Shailesh on being elected Prez & CEO of Procter & Gamble

Hyderabad, Aug 7 (UNI) Hyderabad Public School (HPS) Society President Gusti Noria on Thursday extended heartfelt congratulations to distinguished alumnus Shailesh Jejurikar (Class of 1984) on being elected as President and Chief Executive Officer of The Procter & Gamble Company (effective from January 1, 2026).
Shailesh , currently the company’s Chief Operating Officer, will become the first HPS alumnus and the first India-born executive to lead the 187-year-old consumer-goods giant.
HPSS, which manages four prestigious institutions across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in Begumpet, Ramanthapur, Warangal, and Kadapa, takes immense pride in celebrating the achievements of its distinguished alumni.
HPS Begumpet, where Mr. Shailesh studied, continues to produce leaders who make a significant impact on the world stage.
“Shailesh exemplifies the HPS spirit of leadership, integrity, and global citizenship,” said Gusti Noria.
“As Head Boy in 1984, he led with empathy, excelled academically, competed on the cricket field, and earned the admiration of teachers and peers alike.It is no surprise that the same character and grit have now propelled him to the pinnacle of one of the world’s most respected corporations. The entire HPS family is immensely proud," he said .
“Shailesh now joins a soaring cohort of HPS Eagles making an indelible global impact – Satya Nadella (Microsoft), Shantanu Narayen (Adobe), Prem Watsa (Fairfax Financial), and Ajay Banga (World Bank), among others, said Noria.
Their collective success underscores the transformative power of an HPS education and its emphasis on curiosity, compassion, and courage, he added.
Shailesh expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Hyderabad Public School (HPS) community, stating, “I am truly grateful to the Hyderabad Public School community for their warm wishes and heartfelt congratulations.
