HPCA Challenger Women's Trophy Ends, Boosting Women's Cricket in Himachal

Dharamshala, July 10 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) on Friday concluded its flagship Challenger Women's Trophy with Team Red defeating Team Blue in a keenly contested final, marking the successful completion of a tournament aimed at nurturing women's cricket in the state.
Unlike a commercial league, the Challenger Women's Trophy was organised as a developmental platform, bringing together the state's top women cricketers in three teams — Red, Blue and Yellow.
The tournament featured a unique mixed-team format, with each squad comprising experienced senior players and promising juniors. The initiative enabled senior cricketers to mentor emerging talent on the field while providing young players with valuable exposure to competitive cricket.
