HP: Ruling Cong to hold candlelight march honouring Pahalgam attack victims

Shimla, Apr 24 (UNI) The ruling Congress in Himachal Pradesh would organise a candlelight march here in Friday in honour of the victims of the recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam.
The peaceful march would begin at 6-30 pm from the Sher-e-Punjab area and proceed to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at the historic Ridge Maidan, the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) said in a circular on Thursday.
The event aims to show solidarity with the families of the deceased and to pray for the eternal peace of the departed souls.

Uttarakhand vigilance department nabs JE red-handed with ₹50k bribe money

Dehradun, May 21 (UNI) Uttarakhand Vigilance on Thursday nabbed a Junior Engineer (JE) taking a bribe of Rs 50,000 in connection with a tender work pertaining to the Pashulok Barrage in Rishikesh.
According to vigilance officers, the complainant, a contractor, had lodged his complaint on the state vigilance establishment's toll-free number 1064 stating that he was a government contractor and had been working on several contracts in the past.
