HP: Four-lane project sparks fresh anger as Kisan Sabha calls for mass mobilisation in Shimla

Shimla, Jan 17 (UNI) Expressing serious concern over the growing incidents of land subsidence and damage to residential areas, the Himachal Kisan Sabha has alleged that unscientific construction under the four-lane highway project is displacing families and destroying lifelong savings of local residents.
In a press release issued today, state president of the Kisan Sabha Dr Kuldeep Singh Tanwar said a building collapsed in Sanjay Van, while cracks have developed in at least six nearby houses, rendering several families homeless.
It further pointed out that a massive pothole suddenly appeared on the Bhattakufar road, where a girl narrowly escaped death.
