HP CM Sukhu reaffirms commitment to the marginalised

Shimla, May 14 (UNI) Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu reiterated his government's commitment to the welfare of underprivileged and marginalised sections of society, assuring that no one would be unjustly deprived of their livelihood. Speaking at his official residence Oak-Over, the Chief Minister said that the state government would continue working to provide relief, support, and opportunities to those in need.
He was interacting with a delegation from the Hamirpur Street Vendors Union, who called on him to express gratitude for his intervention in resolving their long-pending issues. The union members informed the Chief Minister that their roadside stalls ('khokhas') had been arbitrarily demolished earlier, leaving many without a means of livelihood. Despite repeated appeals, no relief had been provided until the present government came to power.
The vendors credited CM Sukhu for standing by them and ensuring their rehabilitation. They thanked him for his compassionate approach, which brought them much-needed relief and security.
