Himachal: Woman held with 12.46 gm heroin in Nurpur

Shimla, May 13 (UNI) Police in Himachal Pradesh’s Nurpur district on Wednesday arrested a woman allegedly involved in drug trafficking and recovered 12.46 grams of chitta (heroin) from her possession during a raid conducted by the CIA team.
Nurpur Police district Superintendent of police (SP), Kulbhushan Verma, said that the CIA team was on routine patrol when it received specific information that a woman was allegedly selling narcotics from her residence in Channi village under Indora tehsil of Kangra district.
Acting swiftly on the tip-off, the police team associated with independent witnesses and conducted a raid at the house of the suspect, he stated.
