Himachal: Two Dead, 24 Injured as Tempo Traveller falls into gorge

Lahaul-Spiti, June 16 (UNI) In a tragic accident near Gramphu on the Koksar-Rohtang road in Himachal Pradesh's Lahaul-Spiti district, a Tempo Traveller carrying 24 tourists plunged nearly 300 feet off the road this evening, resulting in the death of two passengers —a man and a woman.
One more is reported to be critically injured.
The incident occurred around 5 PM when the vehicle, bearing a registration number from Sonipat, Haryana (HR69F-3333), lost control and overturned into the gorge. The Tempo Traveller was carrying tourists from Haryana, Delhi, and Gujarat.

Shahpur MLA distributes desks, school bags ahead of birthday

Shahpur (Kàngra) Feb 12 (UNI) Shahpur MLA and Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania distributed 150 desks and 158 school bags to students at Government Senior Secondary School, Boh, in Dharakandi area, a day ahead of his birthday.
The items, worth around Rs 3.5 lakh, were presented as a special gift to the students. Children expressed their gratitude by singing “Happy Birthday” for the MLA during the event.
