Himachal’s first modern city to be developed at Lanj: Kewal Singh Pathania

Dharamshala, Nov 8 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh government is planning to develop the state’s first ultra-modern and well-organized city in Kangra district, modeled on the lines of Chandigarh. The city will be equipped with all modern amenities and is expected to become a milestone in the state’s economic, social and industrial growth.
This was stated by Shahpur MLA and Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania, who attended an NSUI event at Lanj College as the chief guest. He said he had held several rounds of discussions with the Chief Minister and Urban Development Minister Rajesh Dharmani regarding the proposed township, and expressed gratitude for their support. Planning work for the township has already been initiated, he added.
Pathania informed that the Himachal Pradesh Urban Development Authority (HIMUDA) has been entrusted with the responsibility of executing this ambitious project. The new city will be developed in the Lanj and Tiara areas, which are strategically located near Gaggal Airport and the four-lane highway, making them ideal for connectivity and expansion.
