Himachal: Kangra valley experiences rains after long dry spell

Dharamshala, June 19 (UNI) Kangra valley in Himachal Pradesh was lashed by rains on Wednesday evening after a long dry spell, leading to a dip in temperature that brought much-needed relief to the people from the scorching summer heat.
It was at 5-30 pm that the sky was overcast with dark clouds and it started raining with high-velocity winds. The winds uprooted some trees and some tin roofs were also damaged.
The valley has experienced a hot summer and for the first time the mercury crossed 41 degree C.
