Himachal HC directs action on AIIMS Chamiyana inn and infra

Shimla, Sept 13 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh High Court monitoring the provision of land and key facilities at the Atal Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Chamiyana, during a hearing of a PIL, said a 0.52-hectare plot at Mohal Shurala, Tehsil Shimla (Rural), has been identified for constructing a ‘Sarayan’ (inn).
The division bench of Chief Justice Gurmeet Sandhiwalia and justice Ranjan Sharma was acting on an affidavit filed by the Chief Secretary, in compliance with its July 31 order.
The affidavit stated that after ascertaining that no suitable land was available within the existing AIIMS campus, the administration moved to secure an alternative site.
