Himachal CM condoles demise of HPPCL Chief Engineer

Shimla, Mar 18 (UNI) Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh on Tuesday expressed grief over the demise of Chief Engineer-cum-General Manager, Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (HPPCL) Vimal Negi, who had been missing for the past few days.
In his condolence message, the Chief Minister said that Vimal Negi’s dedicated services to the state will always be remembered. He was an outstanding and upright officer.

Centre to give ₹1700 crore to build new rural roads in Uttarakhand

Dehradun, Dec 9 (UNI) Centre will provide Rs 1700 crore to Uttarakhand for constructing 184 new roads in rural areas of the Himalayan state. union agriculture and rural development minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has agreed to the request made by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to construct 1228 kilometres of rural roads, mainly in the hill areas paralysed by the rain disaster in August.
