Himachal: Car-borne consignment of charas seized; three traffickers arrested

Dharamshala, Jan 14 (UNI) Stepping up its crackdown against the drug mafia, Kangra district police have seized a consignment of charas from a car and arrested three persons in connection with the case.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team under the Kangra police station conducted a raid in the Kachiyari area and recovered 852 grams of charas from a car. Two of the accused are residents of Mandi district, while the third hails from Kangra district.
According to the police, specific information was received that a car was parked in the Kachiyari area carrying a large quantity of charas and two occupants were planning to sell it. The police team immediately reached the spot, cordoned off the area and searched the vehicle.
