Hearing in Neelkanth vs Jama Masjid case on Apr 2

Badaun (UP), Mar 20 (UNI) The next hearing in the Neelkanth Mahadev versus Jama Masjid case will be held on April 2 in a court in Badaun district of Uttar Pradesh after the respondent's counsel filed an application citing the Supreme Court order on Thursday, a counsel said here.
Counsel of the applicant said that the case of Neelkanth Mahadev Temple versus Jama Masjid Intezamia Committee is going on in the fast-track court of Civil Judge (Senior Division). On Thursday counsel of Shamsi Jama Masjid Insaaniyat Committee's, Anwar Alam, moved an application in which it was said that the Supreme Court has clearly ordered that the lower court cannot hear any argument in this case, due to which the hearing has been postponed.
It may be noted that on February 11, despite repeated summons, the counsel of the Intezamia Committee side did not appear, after which the fast-track court of Judge Amit Kumar gave the last chance to the Muslim side and fixed February 19 as the next date.
