Health Ministry reviews preparedness for Novel Corona Virus(nCoV)

New Delhi, Jan 17 (UNI) The Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry is closely monitoring the situation in the country after reports of 41 confirmed cases of novel Corona virus (nCoV), including one death from Wuhan, China on January 5, 2020.
The situation is being monitored by the Ministry led by Dr Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, in consultation with WHO and keeping in view the limited human to human transmission the risk at global level is perceived to be low, an official release here said.
According to WHO, the situation is still evolving and preliminary investigations suggest link to the sea food market.

WHO recognises India's initiative in integrating AI with traditional medicine

New Delhi, July 12 (UNI) India’s efforts in integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) with traditional medicine systems have been recognised by the World Health Organization (WHO) in its newly released technical brief titled “Mapping the Application of Artificial Intelligence in Traditional Medicine.”
The document marks the first global roadmap on AI integration in traditional medicine and prominently features several Indian-led initiatives such as Ayush Grid and Ayurgenomics.

New Delhi, July 12 (UNI) The preliminary report by India's Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) into the Air India flight AI171 crash which crashed shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad's Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport on June 12 killing 270 people revealed that the fuel cutoff switches were moved from 'run' to 'cutoff' within a second of each other.
