HC quashes cases against "Social Media warrior" Nalla Balu; BRS calls it a “Victory for Democracy ‘

Hyderabad, Sep 10 (UNI) The High Court today quashed cases against "social media warrior" Nalla Balu.
In a landmark judgment upholding the sanctity of freedom of expression, the Telangana High Court has quashed three illegal cases filed against Shashidhar Goud, popularly known as Nalla Balu, BRS party said in a statement.
The court’s decision comes after he was wrongfully arrested and jailed for over 20 days merely for retweeting BRS Party tweets.

TN Assembly adopts unanimous resolution singing Tamil Thai Vazhthu first in all govt events

Chennai, Aug 10 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Assembly on Monday adopted an unanimous resolution that Tamil Thai Vazhthu (invocation to Mother Tamil), which is an expression of respect for the Tamil language and Tamil culture, should be mandatorily sung first before the commencement of programmes in all government events, a long standing tradition followed in the State since November 1970 and subsequently being accorded the State song status in December 2021.
