Hashika shatters record at Senior National Aquatic Championships

Mangaluru, Sep 10 (UNI) The 77th Senior National Aquatic Championships 2024 made a spectacular debut on Tuesday at the International Aquatic Complex highlighted by Karnataka's Hashika Ramachandra smashing a 13-year-old national record in the Women’s 400m Freestyle.
Hashika made waves by breaking the long-standing record of 4:25.76 set by Richa Mishra of Ranchi, clocking an impressive 4:24.70. Telangana’s Vritti Agarwal finished second in this event with a time of 4:25.09.
The day also saw Karnataka's Aneesh S Gowda claim victory in the Men’s 400m Freestyle with a time of 3:56.59, with his teammate Dharshan S taking second place at 4:01.39.
