Haryana traffic crackdown: Over 50,000 challans issued in Hisar in 7 months

Panchkula, July 11 (UNI) Haryana Police has significantly intensified its technology-driven campaign against traffic violations in Hisar, issuing 50,118 digital challans through the Virtual Observation Challan (VOC) App between January 1 and July 10, 2026, in a major push to improve road safety and enforce traffic discipline.
An official spokesperson of Haryana Police said the district police, under the leadership of Superintendent of Police Siddhant Jain, IPS, is adopting modern digital tools to curb reckless driving, reduce road accidents and ensure safer roads for the public.
The spokesperson said the VOC App has made traffic enforcement more transparent, efficient and evidence-based by enabling real-time detection of violations.
