Haryana shuts 11 sports nurseries over irregularities; Minister warns officials of action

Panchkula, Jun 12 (UNI) In a major crackdown on alleged irregularities in the state's sports infrastructure network, Haryana Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam has ordered the closure of 11 sports nurseries operating in violation of prescribed norms and warned departmental officials against negligence in monitoring sports facilities.
The action follows a comprehensive review of sports nurseries functioning in government schools and under Panchayat institutions across Haryana.
Gautam had recently directed the Sports Department to conduct a ground-level assessment and submit a detailed report on their functioning.
