Haryana polls: Cong will protect Constitution and become weapon against BJP's atrocities, says Rahul

New Delhi, Oct 5 (UNI) Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Saturday urged the people of Haryana to vote for Congress as every vote to the grand old party will protect the Constitution and serve as a weapon against the atrocities of BJP.
"My brothers and sisters of Haryana. Today there is a very important election in the state—an appeal to all the people of the state to come out of their homes in large numbers and vote for Congress," Rahul Gandhi said in a post on X.
"Vote for the prosperity of farmers, employment of youth, safety, and respect of women, for participation from every class, for social security, and for the well-being of every family," he said.
"Every vote you give to Congress will protect the Constitution and become your weapon against the atrocities of the BJP. We have to form a government of 36 communities in Haryana, a government with everyone's participation, a government of justice — a Congress government," the former Congress president said.
Meanwhile, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra too urged the voters of Haryana to vote for the Congress and end the 10 years of misgovernance.
She urged the farmers, wrestlers, deprived section of the society, traders, and those who have suffered the atrocities for 10 years to come out and vote for the Congress.
"In this misrule, you have been made to cry tears of blood. Your jobs, income, pension, and ration have been snatched. Every single blow of the lathis on the bodies of the people of Haryana is a witness to 10 years of tyrannical rule," Priyanka said on X.
"This is the time to use your democratic right to give a blow to the power of injustice and oppression. Vote in large numbers and defeat injustice and usher in a new dawn for Haryana," she said.
