Haryana: Police busts Rs ₹13.10 lakh cyber fraud; Zimbabweanr, Nigerian nationals arrested

Panchkula, Jul 12 (UNI) Haryana Police has busted an alleged international cyber fraud network with the arrest of two foreign nationals accused of duping a retired central government officer of Rs ₹13.10 lakh by posing as women from the United Kingdom and luring him into investing in a fake pharmaceutical business with promises of threefold returns.
The spokesman of Haryana Police said the operation was carried out by the Cyber Crime Police Station, Panchkula, under the directions of Police Commissioner Pankaj Nain.
The arrested accused include a Zimbabwean national staying in India on a student visa and a Nigerian national residing on a medical visa. Both have been produced before a court, which remanded them to five days' police custody for further interrogation.
