Haryana launches 'Covid-Sangharsh Senani'

Chandigarh, Mar 24(UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that with a view to combat COVID-19, the state government has launched "Covid-Sangharsh Senani " programme in the State under which people could voluntarily give their services by assisting para-medics staff, doctors, nurses and district administration.
Mr Khattar was addressing the first Digital Press Conference here on Monday.
He said that those who are intended to voluntarily give their services in this hour of need could register themselves on the portal haryana.mygov.in and covidharyana.in. He said that district wise teams of registered volunteers would be constituted by respective Deputy Commissioners which would work in close coordination with the district administration to combat Novel Coronavirus (COVID 19).

Himachal: HC upholds compensation for married daughters under ‘Loss of Consortium’ in bus accident case

Shimla, June 19 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh High Court has held that under the Motor Vehicles Act, compensation for loss of income is limited to financially dependent legal heirs, however, married daughters, though not financially dependent on their deceased father, are still entitled to compensation under the head of "loss of consortium".
