Haryana govt set to implement Logistics Warehouse policy

Chandigarh, July 12 (UNI) With a view to further boost the Logistics and Warehousing sector, Haryana government would soon implement a Logistics and Warehouse Policy.
In addition to that, Tool Rooms Technology Centres would be set up in IMT Rohtak with an investment of Rs 100 crore to further develop manufacturing and skill development under MSME sector.
Stating this while addressing a press conference here today, Industries and Commerce Minister Vipul Goel said that the state is ready to take the logistics and warehousing sector to the next level and planning to develop North India's largest logistic hub in Narnaul at an estimated cost of one billion US dollars.
The aim of the government is to reduce the time of transportation of goods through this multi-modal logistics hub, he added.
He said that in order to promote the manufacturing and skill development under MSME sector, the tool room/technology center would be set up at IMT Rohtak at a cost of Rs 100 crore and it would start functioning from March 2019. In addition, the state government has already set-up MSME Facilitation Desks covering all 21 District Industries Centers (DIC) across the state.
The facilitation desk set up at DIC not only provides the necessary information to the MSMEs but also facilitates them in the process of deriving benefits of various central and state schemes.
