Haryana delivers over 3,135 lakh units of electricity without major disruptions In

Chandigarh, Jul 19 (UNI) Haryana has achieved a major milestone in power management by meeting its highest electricity demand of the season without any major disruption, even as scorching temperatures, expanding industrial activity and heavy agricultural consumption pushed power requirements to record levels.
Announcing the achievement, Haryana Energy Minister Anil Vij said the state's two power distribution utilities—Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) and Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN)—supplied a combined 3,135.42 lakh units of electricity on July 18, one of the highest single-day electricity consumptions ever recorded in Haryana.
The minister said the record demand reflected the state's growing economy and rising electricity consumption across all sectors, but despite the unprecedented load, consumers continued to receive uninterrupted and quality power supply.
