Haryana CM Saini slams AAP leaders over Punjab flood response

Chandigarh, Nov 7 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini launched a sharp attack on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann during his election campaign in Tarn Taran. Addressing a public rally, Saini accused both leaders of abandoning Punjab during the recent floods, saying that while people were trapped in their homes, Kejriwal returned to Delhi and Mann was hospitalized.
Saini emphasized that during the time of crisis, the Haryana government and the central government stood firmly with Punjab. He highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally visited flood-affected areas and announced financial assistance of Rs1,500 crore. Saini added that he had instructed Haryana officials to provide every possible help to affected residents and maintained close contact with the people throughout the crisis.
The Haryana CM was campaigning for BJP candidate Harjeet Singh Sandhu in the Tarn Taran Assembly by-election scheduled for November 11. After the rally, he proceeded to Amritsar.
