Haryana CM announces new schemes for women on Hariyali Teej

Chandigarh, Aug 7 (UNI) On the occasion of Hariyali Teej, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini unveiled several significant measures aimed at benefiting women and daughters across the state.
Addressing a state-level event in Jind, Saini announced that under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), beneficiary families in Haryana will now receive gas cylinders at a subsidised rate of Rs 500. This initiative is set to benefit approximately 46 lakh families with an annual income below Rs 1.80 lakh.
In a bid to combat malnutrition, the Chief Minister introduced the Mukhyamantri Dugdh Uphaar Yojana, under which fortified milk will be provided to schoolgirls aged 14 to 18 for 150 days. This programme aims to support around 2.65 lakh adolescent girls.
