Haryana bets Rs 20 Crore on research push, CM unveils innovation roadmap to turn universities into problem solvers

Chandigarh, Jul 14(UNI) In a significant policy shift aimed at transforming higher education from degree-centric learning to innovation-driven development, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has approved a Rs 20-crore Haryana State Research Fund to finance research projects addressing the state's real-world challenges.
The initiative is part of the government's Vision 2047 roadmap to position Haryana as a national hub for research, technology, and skilled human capital.
Chairing a high-level review meeting with vice-chancellors and senior officials of the Higher Education Department at the Civil Secretariat, the Chief Minister announced that 90 research projects from 27 higher education institutions have been selected for financial assistance under the newly created fund.
