Hardeep Puri criticizes opposition over "Vote Chori" allegations

New Delhi, Sep 10 (UNI) union Minister Hardeep Puri has taken to social media platform X to launch a strong defense of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and India's electoral system, while sharply criticizing opposition leaders for allegations of "vote chori".
In a lengthy post, Puri expressed dismay at what he described as an "inexplicable desire" by certain politicians to "run down India and our robust democratic system." He suggested that these individuals, influenced by a particular mindset, were on the "brink of a different kind of mental state" that compels them to "eschew logic, utter falsehoods, and cast doubts about India’s electoral system."
The Minister pointed to the opposition's shifting stance on voting methods, noting that while they are proponents of paper ballots, they were unable to explain how nearly 35 of their own MPs voted for the NDA candidate in a vice-presidential election conducted via paper ballot.
