Gujarat based company starts unique eco-friendly initiative

Ahmedabad, Aug 2 (UNI) A Gujarat based company on Friday said that it has started a unique offer/initiative under which it will plant and maintain a tree 'free of cost' in the name of the customer who is purchasing even a single product online from its website or its kiosk in the city.

Azafran Innovacion Ltd is associated with organic products and solutions and has set a target of planting at least 20 thousand trees mostly of Ashoka, Neem, Pipal or Banyan in a year under this initiative or campaign.

To mark its 12th Anniversary, Azafran Innovacion Ltd, one of the leading organic solutions providers in India, has launched a first of its kind “#SowWaterGrow” initiative towards a greener planet. It has started this campaign from its base town Ahmedabad and is planning to plant and maintain more than 20,000 trees in a year, Head - Marketing and International Business of the company Rupesh Mishra told newsmen here on Friday.

'Against every online order placed at Azafran’s website or from the company owned kiosk located at Ahmedabad One Mall, the company will plant a tree tagging the customer's name at a facility located in Ahmedabad. At present, the company has shortlisted Banyan, Neem, Pipal and Asoka trees for plantation. We will also provide the customer with good quality Tulsi organic seeds which they can plant at their house and kitchen garden. We have enough space for planting 12000 trees in our facility in Sanand near here spreading in 75 acres of land,' Mr Mishra said.

'With this we aim to create a mass green movement which we believe will help us contribute in reducing pollution and global warming. Azafran is not confined to restrict this initiative at their facility. Moving forward the company will approach Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) to allocate further land for tree plantation, he added.
