GT choose to chase, unchanged XI for MI

Mumbai, May 6 (UNI) Gujarat Titans won the toss and elected to field against their opponents in the ongoing IPL clash on Monday evening.
Speaking at the toss, GT skipper Shubman Gill said, "We will bowl first. I don't think the wicket will change much. Got to have a total on the board and then chase it. It's all about delivering our best as a team.”
Gill confirmed one change in the playing XI. "Arshad Khan comes back for Washington Sundar. Kagiso Rabada is back (in the squad), but he will need a few practice sessions and a few games to get back in his groove," he noted. The Gujarat captain also highlighted the depth in their bowling attack. "We are fortunate that we can use Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore when needed. We have 6-7 bowling options."
MI skipper Hardik Pandya, meanwhile, said he had no issues batting first. "We don't mind batting. There's a lot of breeze. Will be fine to bowl second in such conditions as well," he said. Stressing the importance of consistency, he added, "For us it's important to execute our plans. In IPL, anyone can come in and change a game. We need to stick to our plans and be ruthless for 20 overs."
Hardik emphasised discipline and focus. "We need to maintain discipline, need to be humble and focussed," he stated, confirming there were no changes in his side. "We are playing with the same team," he said.
