Grand Alliance Herds MLAs into Plush Hotel, NDA Turns to Dinner Diplomacy Ahead of Rajya Sabha Polls

Patna, March 15 (UNI) Political manoeuvring has intensified in Bihar ahead of the Rajya Sabha elections, with the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the opposition Grand Alliance (GA) adopting different strategies to keep their legislators united.
While MLAs of the Grand Alliance have been accommodated at a plush hotel in Patna to prevent any cross-voting, leaders of the NDA are engaging their legislators through a series of meetings and informal interactions, including dinner diplomacy.
A meeting of legislators of Janata Dal (United) was held at the residence of parliamentary affairs minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary followed by a joint meeting of NDA MLAs where the strategy for the Rajya Sabha election scheduled for Monday was finalised .
