Govt to provide houses to those deprived of Awas Yojana benefit: Maha minister

Sangli, Feb 17 (UNI) The government has decided to conduct a survey of the people who were deprived of PM Awas Yojana and will provide them with benefits, said Rural Development and Panchayati Minister Jaykumar Gore on Monday.
While addressing a meeting with top officers at the district collector's office here, he said that under the Maha Awas Abhiyan 2024-25, the approval letter to 20 lakh beneficiaries in the state under PM Awas Yojana and distribution of first installment of at least 10 lakh beneficiaries has been organised on February 22 under the patronage of Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the presence of Chief Minister and his two deputies in Pune.
He further said that so far, 18.19 lakh beneficiaries of PM Awas Yojana have been approved and the process of giving approval for the remaining 1.46 lakh beneficiaries is underway.
