Govt to ‘positively consider’ RSS route march proposal, HC told

Bengaluru, Nov 7 (UNI) The Karnataka government on Friday informed the High Court that it would “positively consider” a proposal submitted by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Kalaburagi unit to hold a route march (Path Sanchalan) in Chittapur town, following a series of court-directed meetings between the organisation and state authorities.
During the hearing before Justice MGS Kamal, the state’s Advocate General Shashi Kiran Shetty told the court that authorities had received 11 applications seeking permission for similar events and that these would be considered “as a one-time measure with certain conditions.”
Shetty said a final decision would be conveyed within a week, emphasising that such permissions should not be treated as a precedent.
