Govt serious about empowerment of universities in Maha: minister

Mumbai, Feb 8 (UNI) Maharashtra Higher Education Minister Chandrakant Patil said on Saturday that the government was committed to empower universities in the state by providing necessary infrastructure and educational facilities.
While addressing a function after inauguration of a subway at Shivaji University campus here, he emphasised that it is necessary to empower universities by providing infrastructure facilities and efforts must be made to empower them academically.
Patil said that in this regard, the universities should invite expert professors from the country and abroad for imparting knowledge to the students.

Maha govt gives Rs 50 lakh aid to kin of Latur constable who died of COVID on duty
