Govt's mission is to change lives of families denied justice: J&K LG

Jammu, Dec 11 (UNI) Reaffirming the government's mission to restore dignity and justice to families shattered by decades of terrorism, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday handed over government appointment letters to 41 Next of Kin (NoKs) of terror victims, along with 22 age-relaxation cases and 19 wards of J&K Police.
Marking a major step in the administration's rehabilitation initiative, appointment letters were also handed over to 22 beneficiaries in Age relaxation cases and 19 wards of J&K Police martyrs under Compassionate Appointment Rules SRO-43 and Rehabilitation Assistance Scheme (RAS).
Earlier, on July 28, 2025, the Lieutenant Governor had handed over the appointment letters to 94 Next of Kin (NoKs) of terror victims from the Jammu division.

Four pilgrims from Gujarat killed in bus-trailer collision in Jodhpur, 17 injured

Varanasi, Jan 20 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Minister of AYUSH, Dr. Dayashankar Mishra 'Dayalu' today said that a comprehensive and dignified redevelopment of Manikarnika Ghat is being undertaken that is "devotee-friendly", and clarified that all the temples are completely safe and have not suffered any damage.
He said that attempts are being made on social media to portray that the temples are being damaged, while the reality is that only the cremation facilities are being upgraded.
