Governor slams ‘systemic failure’ after being denied entry at Salt Lake Stadium amid Messi event chaos

Kolkata, Dec 13 (UNI) West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose on Saturday expressed shock and anguish over what he described as a complete breakdown of administration and planning at Yuva Bharati Krirangan (Salt Lake Stadium), where large-scale chaos erupted during Argentine football icon Lionel Messi’s visit to the city.
The Governor, who reached the stadium premises, was unable to enter the field due to the absence of basic arrangements and senior officials, evoking sharp criticism of both the event organisers and the police administration.
According to Raj Bhavan sources, Governor Bose arrived at the stadium in the evening but found the venue in disarray.
