Good Friday observed in Meghalaya

Shillong, Apr 18 (UNI) With fasts and daylong prayer services in churches, Christians in the Christian-majority state of Meghalaya on Friday observed Good Friday, marking the crucification of Jesus Christ.
Faithful of the Roman Catholic Church took out a procession to the Calvary and villages across the state depicting Jesus Christ on the day of his crucifixion.
“This #GoodFriday2025 let us reflect on the true meaning of love. May God’s sacrifice and Jesus’ unfailing love remind us that even in the face of immense suffering, hope and new life can emerge, and that God's love is above all. Blessed Good Friday to everyone,” Chief Minister Conrad Sangma wrote on X.
