Global destinations eye South India’s booming travel market at TTF

Bengaluru, March 11 (UNI) Global tourism boards and travel brands are increasingly focusing on South India’s rapidly expanding travel market, with the upcoming edition of TTF Bengaluru 2026 set to position the city as a key gateway for international and domestic tourism businesses seeking access to high-spending travellers from the region.
Scheduled to be held from March 13 to 15 at Tripura Vasini, Palace Grounds, the travel trade show will bring together tourism boards, travel companies, airlines, hospitality brands and travel technology providers from across India and overseas destinations, creating a major networking platform for the tourism industry.
Organised by Fairfest Media, the event is expected to attract more than 150 exhibitors representing over 15 Indian states and six countries, alongside more than 1,800 travel trade buyers and around 2,100 visitors. The exhibition will serve as a marketplace where destinations showcase tourism offerings and forge partnerships with travel operators targeting South India’s growing outbound and leisure travel segment.
Industry stakeholders say Bengaluru has emerged as one of India’s most important travel markets, driven by rising disposable incomes, strong corporate travel demand and increasing interest in premium leisure experiences. The city is also witnessing rapid growth in segments such as destination weddings, business travel, and MICE tourism—meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions—making it an attractive target market for global tourism campaigns.
The travel show will therefore act as a strategic bridge between international destinations and the South Indian travel trade, enabling tourism boards and hospitality companies to tap into demand from Karnataka and neighbouring states, which are among India’s fastest-growing tourism source markets.
Part of the long-running Travel & Tourism Fair (TTF) network, the exhibition is among India’s oldest and largest travel trade platforms. Over the past three decades, the series has hosted more than 4,000 exhibitors from over 100 countries and all Indian states and union territories, connecting global travel suppliers with India’s key tourism markets.
With travel demand from South India continuing to expand, the upcoming Bengaluru edition is expected to reinforce the city’s role as a major hub for outbound tourism and travel trade engagement in the country.
