GHIAL launches direct flights to Ho Chi Minh City

Hyderabad, Mar 19 (UNI) GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL) has announced new direct flight services from Hyderabad, to Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, via VietJet.
The inaugural flight took off amid excitement, attended by senior officials from GHIAL, VietJet, and key stakeholders.
The new service will operate twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays, with a flight time of approximately 4 hours and 35 minutes. This new route is expected to enhance connectivity between India and Vietnam, promoting tourism, trade, and business collaborations, a GHIAL statement said on Wednesday.
Pradeep Panicker, CEO of GHIAL, expressed his excitement about the new service, emphasizing its role in strengthening Hyderabad’s international presence and boosting regional ties. VietJet Vice President Do Xuan Quang highlighted India’s importance as a key market and noted that this new route will improve accessibility and foster economic and cultural ties between the regions.
With Vietnam becoming a preferred destination for Indian travellers, this direct connection is expected to boost tourism, facilitate business exchanges, and provide easier access to Southeast Asian destinations. GHIAL continues to enhance its services to position Hyderabad as a major international travel hub.
