General alert sounded in Himachal after explosion claimed many lives in Delhi

Shimla (HP), Nov 11 (UNI) A high alert has been sounded in Himachal Pradesh in view of the explosion that took place near Lal Kila in Delhi on Monday. This sad incident claimed the lives of many innocent people.
The police have been making checks on the vehicles entering Himachal Pradesh from Punjab, Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir since last night. All were found in order during the checking. However, no unwanted incident has been reported in any part of the state , a police spokesman told UNI on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, in a letter DGP, Himachal Pradesh to all police agencies has said that it has been reported that an explosion occurred in a car near the Red Fort, Delhi earlier today, following which multiple vehicles caught fire.

Victim's parents move SC against acquittal or computation of death sentence

Shimla, Dec 12 (UNI) The family of four-year-old murder victim Yug Gupta has moved the Supreme Court challenging the Himachal Pradesh High Court’s September 23 judgment that commuted the death sentences of two convicts and acquitted the third.
Family sources told UNI that Yug’s father, Vinod Gupta, has filed a Special Leave Petition (SLP) before the apex court, which has been accepted for hearing.
