Ganja worth Rs 1.90 lakh seized in Ahilyanagar

Ahilyanagar, July 15 (UNI) The Rural Police have seized cannabis worth about Rs 1.90 lakh from the residence of one Bhimraj Dattu Cheke at Chekewadi and from the field in Shivar.
According to police, acting on a tip off, a team of Pathardi Police Station in the district conducted a raid on the residence of one Bhimraj Cheke (resident of Chekewadi, Taluka Pathardi) who had illegally stored cannabis for sale at his residence. Along with this, he had illegally cultivated cannabis in the field,
In this raid, 3.150 kg of prepared ganja worth Rs 94,800 was seized from the house, eight ganja plants worth Rs 95,760 weighing 6.840 kg were seized from the farm, along with valuables worth Rs 1,90,560 were seized.
