Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham gates open, first puja performed in PM Modi's name

Uttarkashi, Apr 30 (UNI) The gates of the revered Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham temples in Uttarakhand's Uttarkashi district were opened for devotees on Wednesday, marking the beginning of the 2025 Char Dham Yatra.
The ceremony took place amidst Vedic chanting and puja ceremonies on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami performed the first puja in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and prayed for the successful conduct of the Char Dham Yatra, as also prosperity and happiness for the country and the state.

Officials are verifying ownership details, although sources indicate that Dr. Shaheen Saeed, who was arrested in the case, had visited Kanpur nearly 25 days before the explosion.
