Gang of burglars busted in Vizag

Visakhapatnam, Dec 22(UNI) The Port city police on Friday busted a gang of burglars including three women and recovered 1.66 kgs of gold ornaments and 6kgs of silver ornaments from their possession.
Police claimed to have solved over 51 property offences with the arrest of this 15 member burglary gang including 48 cases under various police stations limits in Vizag city and three cases in East Godavari district.
The gang leader Chukka Sreenu (43) is an apparent kleptomaniac (An impulse control disorder that results in an irresistible urge to steal.) and had taken the crime route in 1992. Sreenu, resident of Malkapuram area in Vizag city was involved in over 160 property offences and he was convicted in over 110 cases,police added.
