G Sudhakaran denies election plans, rejects UDF tie-up speculation

Alappuzha, Mar 12 (UNI) Senior CPI(M) leader and former Kerala minister G. Sudhakaran on Thursday dismissed speculation about his possible return to electoral politics and rejected rumours of a political understanding with the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF).
Addressing a press conference at his residence here, Sudhakaran clarified that he has neither decided to contest the upcoming Assembly elections nor held any discussions with Opposition leaders regarding such a move.
“I have never stated that I would contest the elections. I have not held any talks with leaders of the Opposition regarding such a move,” he said, terming the reports baseless and the result of media speculation.
