From Delhi to Antarctica: Indian team demonstrates long-distance tele-robotic diagnostics

New Delhi, 16 Feb (UNI): All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, on Monday demonstrated a tele-robotic diagnostic tool that operated over a distance of 13,000 km at the Maitri Research Station in Antarctica, highlighting the potential of remote healthcare technologies in extreme and isolated settings.
The demonstration, conducted on a volunteer, highlighted a persistent medical constraint in remote locations, where the absence of experienced bedside radiologists often delays diagnosis.
