Freyr Energy launches India’s first intelligent self-cleaning solar systems

Hyderabad, Dec 16 (UNI) Freyr Energy, a leading residential solar solutions provider, on Tuesday announced the launch of India’s first intelligent self-cleaning solar systems along with next-generation hybrid solar solutions, aimed at addressing dust-related efficiency losses and frequent power outages faced by home solar users.
In a statement, the company said dust can reduce solar generation by up to 30 per cent if panels are not cleaned regularly. Its intelligent self-cleaning system uses sensor-based technology and water-efficient mechanisms to automatically clean panels, boosting energy output while cutting water usage by up to 90 per cent and eliminating the need for manual maintenance.
Freyr Energy also unveiled advanced hybrid solar systems that combine grid connectivity with battery storage, ensuring an uninterrupted power supply during outages and enabling users to store surplus energy, reduce electricity bills and lower dependence on the grid.
Speaking on the launch, Freyr Energy Co-Founder and Managing Director Saurabh Marda said the new technologies would make solar adoption more accessible and profitable, especially in dust-prone states such as Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala. He noted that with government subsidies and a payback period of just three to four years, rooftop solar has become an attractive long-term investment for households.
With over 12,500 installations and more than 120 MW of installed capacity nationwide, Freyr Energy has emerged as a leading solar provider in the Telugu states and continues to expand its footprint across multiple states in line with India’s renewable energy goals.
